Good quality, fast shipping

I ordered some quilting cotton and a couple of independent pattern designer prints last week. The website was easy to navigate, and checkout was smooth. My package shipped out the next day and arrived in just three days to California, which was quicker than I expected. The fabric quality is excellent, true to the descriptions and colors on the site. I had a question about one of the patterns, and their customer support responded to my email within a few hours with a helpful answer. Everything was well-packaged too. Overall, a very positive experience and I'll definitely order again.

Great value on bundles

I was looking for some fat quarter bundles and found some good deals here. I signed up for their newsletter, which gave me 10% off my first order, so that was a nice bonus. The bundles themselves were already a good price, and with the extra discount, it felt like a real steal. The fabric arrived quickly, and the quality seems good for what I paid. I'm always trying to save a bit, so this was perfect. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth.

Cute fabric options

Just got some knit fabric and a magnetic pin bowl from here. It's all really nice. The knit is soft, exactly what I needed for a new project. Shipping was pretty quick, no issues at all. I like that they have a good selection of modern stuff. Felt good shopping here.

Can you actually use more than one coupon code at checkout? Like if I have a first order discount and a clearance sale code?

R Ryan 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure it's only one code per order. Tried that once, didn't work for me.

They usually only let you stack codes for specific bundles or very rare promos, but generally, no. Just pick the best discount you have.

Has anyone bought their fabric bundles? Are they good quality, or kinda just leftover scraps they're trying to get rid of?

W Wendy Foster 2 months ago
I've grabbed a few fat quarter bundles, and they've always been really nice, coordinating prints. Not scraps at all, usually from specific collections.

The quality is solid. I've gotten linen and quilting cotton bundles and they're always consistent with their regular yardage.

So, I'm new to sewing and wanna try one of their classes. Are they actually good for total beginners or will I be super lost?

B Beth Foster 1 month ago
Definitely beginner-friendly! I took their 'Sew Your Own Tote Bag' class and literally hadn't touched a machine before. The instructors are super patient.

K Kevin 1 month ago
Yeah, they have specific classes marked for beginners. Just make sure you pick one of those, not like, an advanced quilting workshop haha.

Does anyone know if they ever have free shipping deals? Or is it always paid?

R Raj R. 2 months ago
Sometimes they do for bigger orders, or during holiday sales. I've seen it pop up around Black Friday.

Not always, but keep an eye on their newsletter. That's usually where they announce stuff like free shipping thresholds.

I'm thinking of signing up for their newsletter. Is the first order discount worth it, or is it just like a tiny percentage off?

O Omar E. 1 month ago
It's usually 10% off, which is decent for fabric! Definitely worth it if you're planning a purchase anyway.

D David Doyle 1 month ago
Yeah, 10% is pretty standard for first-time sign-ups. It's not a huge chunk but every bit helps on a big fabric order.

Thinking of buying some fabric but I'm worried about returns if the color's off. What's their policy for cut fabric?

O Omar Carter 2 months ago
Cut fabric is usually final sale everywhere, same here I think. You can return uncut yardage or notions though.

B Brett L. 2 months ago
Yeah, most fabric stores don't take back cut fabric unless it's damaged. Definitely double-check the description and maybe grab a swatch if you're really unsure about the color before committing to a lot.

How does Urban Sewciety compare to like, Purl Soho? Is the fabric quality similar or is one way better?

R Renee B. 1 month ago
I'd say Urban Sewciety is a bit more focused on modern quilting and garment fabrics with a curated feel. Purl Soho has some really unique stuff too, but Urban Sewciety often feels more accessible for everyday projects while still being high quality.

Both are great but slightly different vibes. Urban Sewciety's fabric selection feels really fresh and contemporary. Quality-wise, both are top-notch, you won't be disappointed with either.

Hey, wondering if anyone knows how long shipping usually takes for orders to, like, California? Trying to get some fabric for a project next month.

M Megan Z. 1 month ago
Mine took about a week to get to LA, I think it depends on the shipping method you pick at checkout. Standard ground usually takes a bit.

O Omar 1 month ago
Yeah, I'm on the East Coast, and it's usually 3-5 business days for me. West Coast might be a couple days longer, so a week sounds about right.
